WALK IN THE LIGHT
READ ISAIAH 2:1-5
MEMORISE: O house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the LORD. (Isaiah 2:5)

The Bible talks so much about light, making us see the difference between darkness and light. However, without the presence of darkness, no one would appreciate properly the illuminating and fascinating presence of light. One appreciates light better when it dispels darkness.
Light stands for anything good, godly and worthwhile. God, who is the Light, dwells in the light that no eyes can behold. God’s glory illuminates the heavens and earth. Walking in the light of God, is walking in Jesus Christ. It is walking in the will and Word of God. God’s Word is the lamp that guides us through the darkness of this world. It prevents us from stumbling.
Believers in Christ, like Jesus, are the light of the world. Therefore, they have to walk as light, illuminating the darkness of this world. When light comes, darkness disappears. Darkness has never comprehended the light. This attests to the power and influence of the Light. Even as utter darkness pervades the earth, Christians, as people called out of the darkness into the wonderful light of God (1 Pet 2:9), should continue to shine to dispel the works of darkness (Isa 60:1-3).
When we walk in the light of God, we shall attract the nations to God. Devil would be on the losing side when our light is shining. His works would be revealed and his deeds, halted. Darkness should have no place to hide.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Darkness will not take over my heart, in Jesus’ name.
2. I receive the grace and power to shine Christ’s light to as many that grope for the divine Light, in Jesus’ name.
3. Lord, let Your Holy Spirit help the Church to shed Your light, on the darkness that casts it shadow on our world.
