Democracy day in Nigeria, which was ordinarily a day established to commemorate the restoration of democracy in Nigeria especially after decades of military rule that began in 1966, brought hope and confidence to hundreds of Imo state youths who went home as Millionaires.

Speaking to newsmen after 10 youths; one from each ward in Nkwerre LGA, emerged winners through a probability random sampling method to become Millionaires under Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha's youth millionaire empowerment program, the TC chairman of Nkwerre LGA, Barr Onwukaike Paschal commended His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, the executive governor of Imo state for such unprecedented landmark achievement in given 305 youths from 305 political wards in the state one millionaire naira each. He further appreciated the governor for the mode of selection adopted, which had given every participated youth equal opportunity of becoming a winner.

Barr Onwukaike however, advised the winners to make proper use of the money to better their lives and bring lasting development to Ala-Imo and Nigeria at large.
