They had just drove out from the resturant where they went for lunch, since morning he's been driving her around to every possible place he could think of, just to control his emotions

He smiled, he had other plans concerning her posting, there's no way he would continue staying in Enugu without her there.

''Why are you smiling'' Dami asked and he turned to her and grinned before turning back to the roads.

''Says the thirty year old who looks like he's twenty'' Dami said nonchalantly and yawned ''I'm really exhausted and it's just 3PM and I need to be at the hospital by 4''

''Yeah, But Doctor Raphael asked me to assist him and again I get to learn new things''

''Alright then, I will drop you off at the teaching hospital''

''Thanks alot'' she said and smiled.

He sighed! Not that mesmerizing smile again!

The emotions he thought he had gotten under control reared it head again.

He looked at her, not with desire but with the intention of knowing what exactly it is about her that keeps making him as if he is loosing his mind. She wasn't seductively dressed, she was clad in a royal blue gown and her natural hair was beautifully styled.

He looked at her again, wondering what this new feeling which he couldn't put a name to, was all about.

Luckily for him, her eyes were closed, so she couldn't see him boring holes into her skin, with his inquisitive stares.

''Damn'' he muttered and she opened her eyes, when their eyes met, he quickly looked away.

''What was that all about?'' she asked, puzzled.

''No, nothing. We're almost at the hospital'' he informed her, with his eyes straight ahead on the road, even though he wasn't completely focused--he had other thoughts in mind; thoughts that revolved around her.

Few minutes later, they arrived the teaching hospital and she alighted.

''I had the best day ever, thanks alot and a happy birthday once more'' she said to him.

''Thanks for the millionth time'' he replied, smiling.

''Mr. Mocker, mock me very well'' she said and turned to go.

''Dami, wait!'' K.C called out.

''Yes'' she said, turning slowly to face him again.

Even though he was inside the car, she was just few inches away from him, so he reached out his hand and held her soft feminine hand.

He didn't know for how long he held unto her but not until Dami cleared her throat did he realize what he was doing and hurriedly released her hand.

''Bye'' he murmured.

Cursing his emotions, he started his car and drove off without another glance at her.

Once he was out of sight, he parked by a corner and started hitting his head gently but continously on the headrest.

''What's happening to me?'' he asked, rubbing his hand on his head

Fortunately for him, Dami was wise enough not to bring up the phone-incidence or any talk about the kiss that never happened.

After awhile he drove away with the decision to call some reliable people and ask for help concerning his situation.

Ken drove into his compound looking tired and hungry, unfortunately, no one at home to cook for him and he wasn't one to hire house-helps.

After he had gone again to plead with Vicky for forgiveness and she once again refused, he had stopped by, at an amusement park atleast to watch the kids playing there and clear his head and forget his problems.

It worked! Atleast for a while, until he saw a woman who looked just like Vicky and he had no choice but to leave as his therapy wasn't working anymore.

As he was leaving, with faith, he bought some of the children toys that were being sold outside the park.

He was about to unlock the house door when he heard ''Oga'' he slowly turned and gave the gateman a questioning look.

''Oga, somebody dropped this envelope for you''

''Who?'' he asked without making any move to collect it.

''One man''

''one man without name'' he retorted and the gate man bowed his head.

He hissed loudly and collected it and the moment he opened it and saw the content, he laughed and gave the envelope back to the gateman.

''Throw it away''

''Yes sir'' the gateman said and walked away.

Still laughing, he unlocked his door and went in.

''Another divorce paper, Let them keep bringing it, I, Ken will never sign it'' he murmured while heading to the kitchen to prepare noodles for his poor stomach.
