In what look like an unending drama, the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Oye-Ekiti has ordered for the arrest of the Union leaders of the University.

As you will recall that the Unions under the aegis of Joint Action Congress comprising of SSANU, NASU and NAAT have proceeded on an indefinite strike due to the insensitivity of the University management to their plight. The Unions has asked among other things for the immediate withdrawal of suspension letters issued to some of her members, judicious promotion of members of staff who are due and qualified since 2014 and who are yet to be promoted, payment of deserved allowances etc.

However instead of the management attending to this issues raised by the Unions, they resolve to impunity and use of Police to arrest innocent staff members.

As this is being typed, the arrested staff members are been remanded behind bars at Police custody at Ado Ekiti.

For how long will this injustice continue at Federal University Oye-Ekiti and the management believe she can do anything they want with Staff with no eye brow raised from any quarters.

Attached are some pix of the members being transported from Oye-Ekiti to Ado-Ekiti today for unlawful detention.
