HOW BEST TO RAISE YOUR TEENAGE KIDS

The teenage years is often characterized by a countless number of developments which stems out of the unwillingness of your teenage kids to adhere to your instructions, obviously puberty is beginning to set in at this time.
They feel they’re mature enough to do certain things on their own, hence, they do not need your assistance and would make no effort to comply with you or share certain ideas brought up by you.
Nevertheless, you’ve got to let your kids know they need you at this point in time, even more than ever before. In order to achieve this, here are certain things you’ve got to do.

KEEP A WATCHFUL EYES ON THEM
In keeping a watchful eye on them ensure that you’re not stalking them, you’ve got to monitor them by helping out, you could help by offering a ride just when they tell you they are going out; this way you will be able to monitor them.

COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY
To get to know just what your teenager is into by closely communicating with them in a more informal way rather than asking them outrightly what is going on with them; this way they will enjoy opening up to you on certain things and this would help you bond together.

KEEP UP WITH YOUR TRUST
Keep up with the trust that they are absolutely doing fine and engaging in the right things without you being present.
Sometimes they need you to give them some space to make certain decisions on their own, thus, making them feel responsible for their own actions and understanding what consequence comes with taking the wrong steps.

GUIDE THEM THROUGH
Your teenage kids need you to guide them through, never leave them alone to make every decision for themselves without making an attempt to guide them through; Help them with making appropriate and healthy choices.

BE SUPPORTIVE
They need you to show them support as often as you can; sometimes they never really have an idea what they want unless you give some ideas and give them full support on each step they make.

ACCEPT THEM
Accept them for who they are; their interests, abilities, personalities and ambition. This would help them excel in their endeavours and in the very important areas.

CHALLENGE THEM
Sometimes they need you to challenge them by helping them learn new things; this would help you build their confidence. Provide them with several opportunities to display their skills.
Be careful not to be too hard and strict with handling your teenagers, there has to be a balance in parenting them, be sensitive to what is going on with them and look out for better ways to assist and support them.

Not to be over pampered and not been to hard one.

Teach not about good morals as this Can help Change a lot in the country.

They should be thought financial intelligence from very young age.

They should know about the advantages of hard and smart work over shortcuts in life.

They should also be taught basic things like how to cook, do their laundry and the likes。。

Most importantly, teach them moral values. It’s not the
Sunday school teacher's job, neither is it the school teacher’s job. You can’t delegate the responsibility of parenting.

I like and agree with the OP's point on keeping a watchful eye.

I also think not being too hard on them. Not using iron fist or they might start hiding things from you.

Teenagers tend to rebel and it's part of growing you.

Allow them make mistakes and be supportive.

Yep. Morals as well.

Allowing them make mistake this days of the Internet cld be costly. .. Just guide them as much as possible to avoid major or common mistake expecially the expensive, high risk ones... Eg pregnancy etc
