Residents of Oko, Surulere Local Government, Oyo state were thrown into confusion after the only Bank in the community (First Bank, oko) got burnt yerternight (01/06/2017)

The cause of the fire is yet to be known

Some said the, it's a plan among the workers in the bank, that they've packed the money and put fire in the bank themselves,

While some said it's as a result of spark electric wire, but only God knows the best,

It's indeed a tragic incident, 'cos this bank is the only bank in that community and Ejigbo Local government, osun state, one will have to take a 500naira bus before getting a commercial bank again,

Meanwhile, investigation are on-going to fix out the cause of the fire

Some said the, it's a plan among the workers in the bank, that they've packed the money and put fire in the bank themselves,

If they did, it will be very easy to figure out if there is burned money in there, or not.

If they are already closed for biz of the day, which is most likely, before this incident, the cash are safe.

All cash are lodged in the strong room/safe which is fireproof. If any cash is left in the banking all, the operations cum bank manager don enter am be that. lipsrsealed

That bank might not even have a strong room. The old first bank in Suleja market operated without a strong room for close to two years.
