Global Profilers is a Recruitment & HR Services firm specialized in recruitment in Africa; we are currently looking for the role of a Poultry Farm Manager for our client who is an Agribusiness firm.

SUMMARY:
The Job holder must be a skilled worker and would to be involved in co-ordination of a wide range of poultry rearing management operations. The Job holder is responsible for all aspects of managing the birds.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the team and maintaining safe work practices of all employees and contractors on site.

Ensuring welfare of livestock, feed ordering, ventilation management, vaccination, record keeping, Bio security are met.

Implement & foster a continuous improvement environment.

Compliance with legislative and assurance scheme standards.

Responsible for all aspects of managing the farm are met from in-take to depletion.

Consolidate the activities of all production supervisors in order to ensure smooth operation for production and responsible for any emergencies that occur at that Plant.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
First Degree in Animal Production and Health Science, Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology or Animal Nutrition.

Degree in Business Management, Finance, Agribusiness, Production, or related subject is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years technical position/operational position experience (especially rearing) in a poultry farming company/Establishment.

Knowledgeable with the regulatory bodies regarding poultry farming and value addition.

Demonstrated poultry experience at supervisor/manager level.

Demonstrated ability to lead a small team within the context of an Australian workplace – i.e. EEO, Fair Work, WorkSafe requirements.

Ability to take direction and apply the company's principles of poultry management.
