One individual passed on while 18 others were harmed on Wednesday in a mishap including 19 people on the Lagos-Ibadan turnpike.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the mishap, which happened at around 8.30am near Guru Maharaji ji town in Ibadan, included three vehicles.

Observers said a tanker with enlistment number EPE 88 XT had a brake disappointment and slammed into a Mazda transport stamped WWD 772 XA and Toyota Camry auto with enrollment number LSR 349 SF.

Affirming the occurrence, Yusuf Salami, the Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, said that the mishap happened subsequently of wrong overwhelming and mechanical insufficiency which brought about brake disappointment.

He said a male grown-up passed on, including that his body had been saved at the Adeoyo Hospital funeral home.

Salami said the 18 people who were harmed had been taken to Ibadan Central Hospital and University College Hospital for treatment.

He said among the harmed were four kids while the remaining were grown-ups.
