drum with seal lock
place a tray in the drum
arrange the substrate in the drum
make fire , to save cost of fuel you can use sawdust stove like my own

line the inner side of drum with sack
pour water inside the drum to quater of the first ring
allow cool down
get your spawn

spray disnfectant on the spawn before opening it

wash your hand and disinfect it too
slightly open the substrate
pour few grains of spawn

move to growing room it is advisable you innoculate in your growing room
full colonization move them to fruiting room where humidity is high 90 percent

WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR SPAWN

Because so many of us are new to Mushroom Production. Mushroom naturally propagate themselves by producing spore which are not visible to the naked eyes. There are millions of spore in the air. KIndly take the following step when handling your spawn

1. Do not open your spawn bottle until you are ready to innoculate to avoid contamination from other spore in the air
2. When you are ready to innoculate get dettlol and dilute it in water and spray the bottle and your hand with dettlol before you open it
3. Mushroom spawn should be use once, it is not something that can be reuse except you are working in aseptic enviroment

Mushroom yield is measure in biological efficiency. You can get as much as 50-70 gram weight from 100 gram of substrate. Please note it is wet weight and not dry weight. Mushroom is 80 percent water.The yield also depend on other factors such as species, nutrient availability, fruiting technique
