I see many people leaving so many negative remarks but isn't it a good development. The police in a normal society is meant to bring order, the same goes for the traditional leaders, if they have pulled heads together to make this happen, I think we should appreciate them.

In a bid to end violence, members from different cult groups including Buccaneers, Aiye, Eiye, Vikings Confraternities - gathered for a peace meeting recently in Ikorodu Division of Lagos state. The cult members agreed that Peace for Ikorodu is a collective responsibility as they promised to 'shelve their swords' and promote peace in the presence of traditional rulers and security operatives. Check those pictures very well, just in case someone's uncle or father is among those confra people... Confraternity doesn't pay!!! Come to think of the fact that they no longer make their affair and membership secret, makes me wonder a lot... Even policemen were there addressing them, an association or group that is termed illegal by the constitution of Nigeria?

Cultism can never be eradicated, but can be controlled, the peace accord is right step in a right direction. Most of our prominent men, including security agencies are member of one cult or the other, hence the geometrical increase in their numbers and activities. They even respected the elders by not coming along with their arms, the likes of general feli in IMO state flaunts his arms openly and he is been escorted by the army upon any state invitation, in fact with a lot of persuasion before he even appears with the assurance that nothing will go wrong, and his presence alone douses any tension among the cultists and militants.
