A female surgeon has stunned social media users with a photo of her performing surgery on a patient while carrying her son on her back - In a Facebook post, the doctor narrates that day's events which prompted her to enter the theatre with her son.

Dr Swabra Swaleh carried out a C-section with her baby in the theatre when she ran out of options, lacking someone to help her with the boy Swaleh's husband was working at a different hospital several kilometres away and her house help had attended a burial. She narrates in a Facebook post that since it was on a weekend, there were no available staffers at Olkalou District Hospital to help her.

Well, Ceserian section Surgeries are common place surgeries worldwide.... they are easily done and come with less, little or no complications at all.

But truthfully... it is still risky having your Baby in the operating Theatre..... Very very Unprofessional and Risky.

This is a child you love so much and will not hesitate to attend to once he/she starts crying or making uncomfortable movements behind you. In the world of medicine, No matter what, such act as carried out by Dr Swaleh is usually not tolerated.

True, there was poor staffing allocation that Weekend but still.... one person should have been found at all costs to cater for the boy for the One hour plus the mum will be in the theatre And C-section surgeries don't take donkey hours to perform. You can be done with the actual recovery in roughly 40mins to 1hr 30mins depending on the doctor's speed.
The recovery for C-section patients may take up to 2hours.

This is risky.... damn too risky. It is true the surgery went well perhaps but such acts should not be encouraged please... no matter how common and straightforward C-section surgeries are now.

P.S: I know some may say, "Shows she is a bad-ass" wink Abeg... let's be mindful how we form bad-ass when people's lives are involved biko.
