I don't think so.. its a volunteering job and since you show interest in the scheme, you may be pick....someone who isn't an agric graduate applied last time.. (a statistician)

Selection Preference: Bachelor’s degree, HND or OND in Nutrition, Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Science, Crop Science, Food Science & Technology, and other agro related disciplines.

I guess there is no harm in reading the "selection preference" before one apply for any opening. So because there was no selection preference last year now means there won't be this year? We shouldn't always argue without facts!

my discipline is mechanical engineering and I went for agro!

A friend of mine studied Agric and Bio-resources engineering. during the last Npower scheme, he opted for Agro, wrote the test but was not shortlisted.. the reverse was the case for a friend who studied mechanical engineering and was unable to do the test..............

Hence i dont think discipline really matters ...judging from above
