An analysis of a damning report by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that six South-East and South-South States came off as worst culprits in the agency’s conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT) for 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In what appeared an uncanny coincidence, the six states namely Abia, Anambra, Imo, Rivers, Delta and Akwa Ibom shared the report of infamy equally between both regions largely adjudged educationally advanced.

JAMB had noted in its report published last Wednesday that of the 600 centres earmarked for UTME, 72 had been blacklisted for offenses bordering on ‘misconduct and or gross technical deficiencies.’

Examination malpractice is another corruption by the youths and something has to be done fast especially in sorting out WAEC and NECO. We can appreciate the effort of JAMB, and I think WAEC and NECO should look at the way of CBT and streamlined exam centers. Thus will enable those flexing muscles on being the best in the last ten years and those saying they are the first to really gauge their energy.
