I know many Nigerians do not use Microsoft Chat App, Skype, but it has been adopted by many experts as one of the most secured means of communication in office settings.

There are even a number of virtual offices that communicate through the chat app. However, the server has been down in many EU Countries and the America. Many have reported the incident since yesterday, but it affected more countries including Nigeria today, June 20 2017.

Data pulled from the Skype Down detector site http://downdetector.com/status/skype shows that almost half of all reported issues with Skype at the moment are from users having trouble logging into the service.

Meanwhile, video and voice calls account for some 12 per cent and the ability to send and receive message account for 33 per cent.

Enraged Skype users have flooded Twitter and Downdetector.com with reports of the outage voicing their frustration.
Has assured users of resolving the issue as soon as possible
