I had to write this post because I see damaged adults all over our society. People cheat anyhow, engage in crime, disrespect their fellow men and all sorts of deviant behaviour which has become rampant. The beauty of life is that you reap what you sow. When parents allow their children to get away with bad behaviours without corrections, it becomes a habit that follows that individual till adulthood.
I see young girls who are harlots. When you hear of married women cheating, dig deep, most are women without good foundation. Ex harlots, slay queens etc. You are what you are, wearing a ring wouldn't change that. Same with the men.
We need to start teaching our children how to be responsible individuals. The idea of taking sides with your child if he/she misbehaves will only harm the child. Let's learn!!.
When a man is a wife beater or doesn't care about his family or a woman is dirty and don't take care of the home where do you think they learnt it from? Childhood!!. A faulty foundation always comes back to haunt. Parents, don't be that individual whom the kids will blame tomorrow for their bad attitude. Be warned.

everyone now sees it as a normal thing to cheat,disrespect people and engage in crimes thinking everyone does it,and when you even tell them that you don't do such things they'll say at your back that you are an hypocrite! no child even prays for a disciplinarian.

You're right but let us not forget that some children, through no fault of the parents, are simply bad seeds. Some parents really do their best to instill moral values in their children and the children still end up going off the rails.

Well said...But let us ask ourselves one important question. Who is going to instill the good upbringing? The parents that are available or the ones busy making money. I grew up with my mother always being around. It instilled some sort of discipline in me because the woman had details of almost everything we did as her children. I said 'almost' because we always had our ways of getting away with some minor stuffs.
Most children of nowadays don't have that privilege. Both parents work and get home late. They are left with teachers for some part of the day, nannies for another part then they only get to spend time with their parents on weekends part of which is spent watching the TV. So when is the good upbringing supposed to be instilled by parents. Children learn from people they spend time with the most. I see some things from children this days and my heart bleeds. I dare not try what they do when I was their age. But it is what it is. Parents can't hunger and thirst for money and expect perfect behaviour from their children. Something has to give. So the issue of good upbringing is a very extensive and delicate matter. May God help parents.

We had working class parents who were comfortable yet they still had time to raise us well. One major problem now is over exposure to modernity. Free access to porn, immoral sites, watching lewd movies and music videos etc. These things corrupt the mind. Instagram now has lot's of irresponsible guys and girls who flaunt ill gotten wealth and crazy lifestyles. All these combine to make youths deviate from the straight path. Unfortunately, new parents now are basically damaged already hence you wouldn't expect them to know how to train their own kids any better.
The sad part is that it would get worse in generations to come.
