There are some common acronyms being used here on this forum, that might leave a jjc(jonny just come) wondering what they mean. Let me share a few of them

1.FTC : this simply mean 'First To Comment' this position is arguably the most sought after by every poster on a thread. The rush for Ftc by nairalanders' might leave you wonder if seun gives money to those that makes ftc

2. FP: this is Means Front Page. While reading through a thread you'll likely see people asking the mods to move the story to fp. Thats the first page you encounter as soon as you visit nairaland. It takes only the grace of God and lala for a thread to make fp.

3. Mod: though this is not an acronym, but i think it's worth mentioning.. This is just the shortened form of the word moderator.; every section of the forum has moderators who oversee its affair.

4. Op: means oringinal poster. It took me a while to know what this particular one meant. The originator of the thread or article is refered to as the op.
