Suspected to be a Wizard, Esau Ihemeje was attacked by irate youths of Ndiolumbe, Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government of Abia State.

According to eyewitnesses, he was dragged out of his home by 4a.m on May 22nd by the youths, and then assaulted. His voodoo materials were also displayed after he was manhandled.

The assault incident have been taken up an NGO named Foundation For Environmental Rights, Advocacy & Development (FENRAD), who have already petitioned the Inspector General of Police over the manhandling of Ihemeje.
