Would have been better if you posted a Snippet of your code But the following should help

background-image: url("/your-background-image.jpg" );
min-height: 100%;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-position: center;
background-size: cover;

In that case, we would have to see the website page to be of more help. Might be using parallax or whatever. Notr until I see the web page, i don't think I can offer much help.

Next time, always try to support your comment with necessary details such as code snippets, links, etc

I would suggest you optimize your images so the file size is smaller.

This would reduce the file size making the website to load faster (I don't have to go boil beans while waiting for your website to load) And also help your Visitors / Users save their data.
No one wants to loose 5MB just entering your website
