Saint Arnolds name became tied to irrevocably tied to beer aftet he ordered villagers to drink beer during a plague, and the plague disappeared.


Amazingly he spent a good part of his time admonishing people to drink beer and to abstain from water. Shocking!

Saint bibiana's family was murdered by a blood thirsry emperor. However, she escaped the massacre with her sister saint Demetria. Angered by this, the emperor ordered their arrest and had Bibiana totured and killed.

Strangely, however,the plants that grew around her graveside were discovered to have healing powers and could even cure such trivalities as hangovers
