Chika Uzor, a Nigerian born entrepreneur is to quitting a 14-year long career with some of the worlds biggest companies in the UK to help resolve problems that African Beauty & Wellness consumers and professionals face, and so launched GlamAfric.

GlamAfric uses technology to re-think traditional models by launching a marketplace focused on making the process of finding professionals, and booking Beauty & Wellness appointments simple, transparent and available 24/7 to consumers in Africa and beyond.

It's GlamHouse tool empowers beauty & wellness professionals with tools required to market themselves better online, manage their bookings & schedule, customer email / sms communication, invoicing and a dashboard which provides basic analytics on their business.

The GlamHub will present curated content from a global community of bloggers, vloggers and brands who provide inspiration and useful tips on beauty & wellness for its readers. It also aims to serve as a platform for products manufacturers to engage directly with African consumers to help drive sales and research efforts.

Having introduced the website https://www.glamafric.com in March 2017 to a small audience in Nigeria, the Mobile Apps (which are its core product) launches in June 2017 predominantly to the UK and Nigerian markets, covering categories which include: Hair, Nails, Make Up, Spa’s, Salons, Body Treatments and Bridals. This would allow the team to focus its lean resources on on-boarding users, client support and getting to product market fit.
