THE SLUGGARDS NEST
I'd love to spin you round the sluggard's nest,
come along while he sleeps, come be his guest.

At his entrance lay dozens of excuses,
so much it'd serve as beds of roses.

Come see his door, beautifully painted with lies,
he wears a mask, double faced, with dizzy eyes.

See his chairs, gifts from the devil's workshop,
they look ordinary but seats of a real business-flop.

See his table, originally made as a centre for decision,
but alas, woefully cracked, sign of an abortion mission.

There goes his adoring bed, his true definition of comfort,
he has repelled opportunities, even when they beckoned him to come forth.

He sings songs of success while building magnificent castles in the air,
a big fan of pleasures, indigence he continues to stir.

If his lifestyle was a movie, as you watch you'd throw up,
and in the long-run he will realize his errs, buried potentials that never turned up.
