The Government of Kano state has set to immortalised the deceased Northern elder statesman, Dr. Yusuf Maitama Sule by renaming Northwest University, kofar Nasarawa Kano (Maitama Sule University Kano) after him. Governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje announced this prior to the Islamic funeral rite of the Late Northern elder statesman yesterday, who gave up the ghost day before yesterday at Cairo hospital, as a result of heart related disease.
