PUT AWAY HYPOCRISY
Read Romans 2:17-23
MEMORISE
And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? (Romans 2:3)

The Bible is full of references to hypocrisies, and warning against being a hypocrite. A hypocrite is a person who claims or pretends to have certain beliefs, about what is right but behaves in a way that disagrees with those beliefs. For example, hypocrites are self-deceived and deceivers (Gal. 6:3; 2 Tim. 3:13); hypocrites use their freedom in Christ as a cover-up to do evil (1 Peter 2:16); hypocrites claim they know God, but deny the same God, by their works (Titus 1:16; 1 Jn. 2:4; 2 Tim. 3:5); hypocrites claim they love God, but live in hatred towards their neighbours (1 Jn. 4:20); hypocrites are self-justified in whatever wrong they are challenged of (Lk. 16:15).
Hypocrisy, lies and slander are evil triplet that cannot be separated. The Scripture, in Jude 1:11, says: Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. Think a little bit about the lives of Cain, Balaam and Korah. They can be likened to the so-called Christians nowadays, highly gifted and renowned, yet hypocritical in service and relationship.
Therefore, dear reader, lay aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking (1 Peter 2:1), that the power of the Godhead (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit), may not be hindered in, and through you. In the church, today, there are more professors of faith, than possessors. Therefore, be real; do not be hypocritical.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Search my heart, oh God, and remove all forms of hypocrisy, in Jesus' name.
2. Holy Spirit, let me find it easy to be real in all situations, unto Your glory.
3. Pray that God should rid our civil servants of hypocrisy and sycophancy, in their services.
