Its just based on the quantity of films being produced and not on the quality (which includes good acting, storyline and visual effects).

please name ONE Nollywod movie that can compete with any Bollywood movie. . . . . . . . let alone Hollywood.

what people have to realize is that what people call "movie production" in 9ja is what we call home video in other part of the world. every Dikc and Tom in 9ja with a camera and 10000$ is releasing a Nollywood movie that goes straight to dvd/video release LOL.
this is what you want to compare with movie such as AVATAR?

the day that they decide to make real movies in 9ja then they can talk about movie production until then Nollywood has absolutely no right to even claim of a movie industry.

do you call the thousands of garbage "home videos" that are released in 9ja M O V I E S?
even the south african movie industry is BETTER than Nollywood in terms of quality. go see quality movies that are made over there and then come and talk movies (abi what else would you want to evaluate a movie if its not because of the quality?)

better be quiet than Nollywood making a name for itself through garbage production. people are going to have a look and realize the atrocity that is being filmed out there.

its sad how we are the second largest in terms of quantity but our quality still sucks and we dont make alot of rev from them. thank God for movies like IJE AND D'COMEBACK that are gonna put all those useless stingy 9ja so called producers to shame.
