SO, my first post over here! Yay!

Recently, I decided to install Ubuntu's Operating system on my laptop due to some issues with WIndows 8.1 (another long story....lesson learned...use genuine WIndows products).

Materials needed

My laptop (HP product)
Two 32G USB flashdrives/ 'sticks' (N6000 Approx for each).
Some spare time.

How i did it.
1.I created a recovery drive (important) using one of the 32 gb USB sticks

2.I created some free space for the Ubuntu OS By shrinking the partition.

3.I then created a Bootable Ubuntu drive using the other 32G USB stick....

4.I turned off secure boot.

5.I then installed Ubuntu from the bootable Ubuntu drive I created.

6.Then I did Boot Repair....so that when next I turn on my PC, I would have the options to use Windows or Ubuntu.(Toughest part)

7.And that was that.

Experience so far (6 days post-installation.)

Works well so far. Easier to hook up to the internet, and much simpler to use.
