I ask Honda freaks these simple question each time this argument comes up.
How many Honda products do you see on the road being used by Transport companies? How many Odyssey as opposed to Sienna, Camry as opposed to Camry or Honda Bus as opposed to Hiace or Coaster.

How many Honda products of the 80s and 90s do you still see on the road?

The answer is simple. They have poor reliability and durability ratio.
No transport company wants to lose all their earnings paying for maintenance of their fleet

You can still see the 90s, 80s and even 70s of Volvo, Mercedes, Peugeot and remarkably taskfully performing Toyota Corollas, Celicas, Cressida and Crowns of yesteryears.

Bros where are you situated?

It afeects CRV even more than other brands. I bought a CRV a couple of years ago,but the front wheel disengagement nearly killed me. I spent nothing less than 250k maintaining it within 12months. I later sold it and i never looked back.

Do you know that Honda suspensions are basically the same year in year out in all models while the Toyota uses the same kind of suspension only in SUVs nd trucks leaving the low end models with the very simple type of suspension set up. Toyota has sacrificed comfort for economy.

You need to to ask your self why all Honda have upper arms but only SUVs and trucks have them in Toyota.

If you dont know, ask and i will tell you. Hondas have better ride quality and greater stability at high speed than Toyota. The ride quality is because honda has more bushings and dampers than their Toyota mates have.

First pic 2003 honda accord, basically all accords from 2003. Only sway bar missing in older hondas. Bushing count 7

2nd pic toyota camry bushing count 4

3rd pic toyota Fj cruiser bushing count 6

4th pic toyota Lexus GS bushing count 6

Can you see the similarity of the Honda and high end toyotas. The differences you see here is why the ride quality on camrys and corollas so poor.

Apart from the bushings the double wishbone suspension movement defers especially from the single one on camrys and corollas. This increases stability especially during cornering by maintaining camber. Meanwhile the single wishbone set up has fixed camber but camber changes during driving (imagin how bad that is).

yes sir, now I know that Honda hired more virtual artists and computer aided designers at the cost of less technical and testing staff. if not y would such a mental and virtual creation not fare well in reality?
