The Word In You (ii) by Nobody: 7:00am On Jul 19, 2017
Good morning precious people of God. Our topic in the previous episode concerned God’s word and His people, and the effects of its impartation into the lives of His children. The importance of the word of God in our lives cannot be over emphasized. The topic is vast and of utmost importance to the children of the kingdom. So, today, we shall be looking more into the topic.
God commended us to His word (Acts 20:32), because His word is dependable. His word is absolute reality. It is irretrievable. It never fails no matter the circumstance or situation. The word is God personified. The word is the light of men, which is Christ Jesus. When you have God’s word in you, you have divinity (Christ) at work in you (2nd Corinthians 4:4-18).
The heart of men is the dwelling place of God. With God’s word in you, there is a lot that it does for and in your life. It builds you up. It changes your state. God’s word in your life replaces fear with faith, weakness with strength, guilt with righteousness, failures and disappointments with success and advancement. The word brings meaning to your life in a way which nothing else can do. The word cleanses you (John 15:3). It reconciles you to God, presenting holy and un-blamable in the sight of God (Colossians 2:13-14, 1:21-22). God’s word brings righteousness into your life (1st Peter 2:24).
The word of God leads you in the path that you should go always. It is a guide unto the child of God in all the ways that he should go in life, and makes the feet of such steady on the path of righteousness (Psalm 37:31).
God’s word brings out the best in you. The life of Christ is the perfect example of what the word does in the life of the believer. Christ went about doing good, spreading the news of God’s kingdom, healing all manner of sickness and diseases, raising the dead, consoling the down trodden, giving hope of a brighter future to men, doing the perfect will of the Father. We see this in numerous chapters and passages of the gospel. Christ in all the places that he went to, always affected the lives of those who came to him positively. No one, no single person who ever encountered Christ remained the same after such an encounter. They were always left better than at when they came to him. We are told in the bible that if all the good deeds and miracles that our Lord Jesus Christ performed were to be written, the world would not have room enough to house the books that would be written on them.
Wow. This lets us know that our Lord lived a life of love and service. He lived to put smiles in the faces of men and women that he met. He lived to bring happiness into the lives of all he encountered. Where ever the Lord went, he did one good or the other for persons who came to or where brought to him. He lived a wonderful and fulfilled life. As children of the most high, that is the same life we are called to live. We are the extension of God’s goodness to our world. We are His out stretched arms to reach the hurting and ailing in our world. He has given us all that we need to live the life of purpose in His word. Christianity doesn’t just end with you being saved. There is more to it. The question here is; what do you do with your salvation? Yes we are to preach and spread the gospel, for that is a commandment unto us. But it does not just end there. You are to live out the word. Act the word. Reach out with a helping to the less privileged. Let your work show who you are in Christ. We are blessed of God so that we also can bless and minister to the needs of others. That is true Christianity. (Matthew 25:33-40). God recommends that we be partakers in His ministry of counselling, comfort, consolation and providence.
Do not let religion or human judgment pull you back from who God has destined you to be. When you find yourself in a reasonable position to help, console or provide succor to another, do not hesitate to do so. Be it that such is of same faith with you or not. Despise no one. Not less one of same faith with you irrespective of their state or status. For anyone with the Holy Spirit is clean. Let the love of God in you show forth. For the spirit that dwells in us is of love (2nd Timothy 1:6-7). When you allow God’s Spirit to direct the activities of your life, you begin to experience the supernatural in everything concerning you. The more the Holy Spirit is stirred in you, the less the things of this world can harm or affect you. (Mark 16:18). As a Christian, you have the life of God in you. Allow this life to permeate every fiber of your being, and you will witness the life of glory. Have a blessed and fulfilled day as you walk in the light of His glory.
