Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly agreed a world record fee in principle with Monaco for the signing of French forward Kylian Mbappe.

Having recently sold Alvaro Morata and Danilo, and having loaned out James Rodriguez, Real have freed up the necessary funds to move for the teenage sensation. The La Liga and Champions League winners are rumoured to be paying £143.5 million up front plus £17.5 million in add-ons for Mbappe.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the 18-year-old Mbappe will sign for six seasons, earning €7 million (£6.2 million) net which translates to £241,000-a-week for a teenager.

Monaco were keen on retaining the French international’s services this summer, especially following the sales of Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Premier League clubs.
