Hellloooooo Ok it's been a while since i've really posted on here. But I need honest opinions from you all. I'm looking to relocate back to Nigeria by the end of this year. I have been asked to open up a Makeup Training Acadamy, the first one being in Lagos. We're looking to have a three fold type store. 1. A retail store for high end brand name cosmetics such as Mac, IMAN etc and new specialist makeup artist brands such as Pr1mero (which does custom blend foundations and powders) and Supacover - as well as the mid to budget range of cosmetics such as Black Opel - Rimmel, Maybelline, L'oreal and Barry M (but stocking products suitable for darker skin which aren't so freely available). 2. A salon/spa stocking brands such as Dermalogica. Specialising in skin and body treatments. We're not going to go heavily into nail extensions etc as there are good places for that already but we will be focusing more on natural nail care and hand treatments. 3. The training acadamy. We will be using a brand made specifically for us and Makeup artists who qualify with us can then purchase stock from us at a discounted price. We'd be looking to start an "agency" so that potential clients can approcah us and we can refer makeup artists to them from our books and models can come to us for help with their portfolios. Ok my questions are: a. Do you think this is a good idea? Is there is a market for this sort of business; b. Do you know of any other makeup artist acadamys/training schools (any where in Nigeria); c. Any suggestions as to good locations or any suggestions in general. If you're interested, you can find out a bit more about me on www.myspace.com/misslollie2u or www.sacred-city.com Thank yooooooou xx |
