Hello everyone. I have got up to the number. Now, let's go. We will start with the basic skirt which will give way to other skirt variations. Here are some images of basic skirts.

Before we continue, let's see how to take proper body measurements. For this skirt, we need
#Waist
# Hips
# Length of skirt as desired
# Body rise/ hip depth - the distance from waist to hip

Keep up the good job.

Divide the circumferential/ round measurements into 4 parts. Here I
waist 30 = 30÷4= 7.5 (add seam allowance )7.5 +2= 9.5
Hips 38= (38÷4) + 2= 9.5
Tip to tip = 8 ( this is needed for sewing darts which gives shape to the skirt. This is divided into 2, then add 0.5 inch allowance.(8÷2) +0.5= 4.5
Length =22 +2( hem allowance)
Body rise/ hip depth tells you exactly where to measure your hips. It's the distance from the waist to the fullest part of the hips.

Input 1.5 inch zip allowance at the back. Sew sides together and attach your waist band to the skirt.

Take the measurement from one nipple point of the bust to the other. It's also called bust apart or bust span

Length of dart is 4 inches while the width is 0.5 inch
