Afolabi Joseph Kehinde aka Aj Kenny was born on the 2nd January. He hails from ipoti Ekiti, Ekiti state. He grew up and schooled in the suburbs of Victoria Island, spent most of child hood days at the then popular bar beach. Although exposed at an early age to highlife music the opulent uber life and the pressures of adopting the prevalent social vices that marked the juveniles around him.
 
He took to music constructively, even as a budding entrepreneur, he wrote songs initially for fun and as the business world paid off Kenny temporarily put a hold on his music ambition, Until now his passion has driven him back and better to the music stage.
