Nice but I fear for what chips in the human system is capable of. I'd not let anyone implant me with any chip, unless I built the chip or have a hundred percent understanding of how it works.

One thing I noticed about us is the pace which we maintain when we catch up. We may be very poor in terms of technological advancement but once we get hold of any technology, it spreads like wildfire among us. Look at how we handled phones.

Another thing now is that the world is globalized. Any new invention or trend can reach the entire continent, even homosexuality (lol). The only thing that could hold back an invention or idea from manifesting here is the policies of government.

Your last paragraph is true ,this can affect development positively or negatively depending on sincerity of our politicians.

The problem I see in our country in terms of technological trend is the way we tend to over hype simple gadgets here- iPhones. Pad ,watches et al, why don't we as nation create a technology hub to address our deficiencies in terms of life style, agriculture, technology etc. to come up with inventions-top notch to better our lives.
As for the implant stuff, whites will never come up and tell you the effects on the body and possible security risk of this chip to the individual, I also believe it to be a ploy for other nations like our Nigerians to embrace such technology and use it as a source of information gathering for their use -we need to be careful though.

I appreciate your deep sense of reasoning on this discourse, hope you are not a research fellow oooo!

U mean u don't have any relative or friend who manages a gambling shop like bet9ja?

No, should I be concerned?

Cutezt:

That is some people's full time job

rottennaija:

The owners of gambling companies are making so much money from it. Na job brother, na job

These two responses made me search for more information. Apparently there's such a thing.

"Gambling isn’t typically thought of as a possible career choice. However, there are many people who earn their living gambling full time. They already have a love for casino games which can make for a pleasurable career. As with any career choice, there are some drawbacks along with the benefits of gambling as a job. To determine if it is an appropriate choice for you, you must assess these considerations"

More at http://www.mscareergirl.com/2014/01/30/gambling-possible-full-time-job/

TLDR: TIL you can make a career out of gambling.

Thanks cutezt and rottennaija.

U r on point....take tesla for example...given enough time we won't have to worry about driving our cars.
Anyway..it's 7:23am and since I don't go to church every Sunday....I'll just watch that Equilibrium movie.

quote author=Sapiosexuality post=59183771]Lol. Not Hollywood but science and experience. It is possible. If you watch Star Wars you'd see what I'm talking about. Some of the things used in the Star Wars of two decades ago is what we are celebrating today. What if cloning is already going on among those who feel they own this world? What I mean is, what if there are rich people who already have multiple clones of themselves and any time they fall sick, they replace the sick body part with that of their clone? Lol. Crazy right? Some persons once thought that a Heliocentric universe was crazy. [/quote]

We now have toys that can replace the role of women in the other room (bedroom) .The only thing is that it's a little bit costly. Recently a man divorced his wife and bought a robot as a replacement. Many attested to the kind of acrobatics that these robots can display in the bedroom. So you see, olosho work will still go extinct. Start saving up some money if you wish to evade marriage headache or std.
Wrong. It is one of the oldest profession in the world. It's going nowhere. I'm not in support though

nice writeup.

Importation and importers are going no where.
No nation can be 100% self sufficient. The implication is that we need to import.

http://www.phcpromo.com gives you up to 50% discount on all orders from aliexpress made through the site!!!

Sapiosexuality:
Are you sure? Because I think almost every job will go extinct. Teachers will be nonexistence and schools will not exist either.

Writers and bloggers will have no audience because our communication system will change into Dolphin-like means of communication.

Military men? Have you watched Equilibrium? Emotions responsible for wars will be subdued and no one will fight. Sounds crazy right?

Paramedic? What For? When cell and tissue regenerative substances would have been created and everyone treats themselves?

I've got more but let me just stop here. I think if this world doesn't come to an end by our making or a supernatural power, humans will live like zombies in the next 200 hundred years. I agree with Christian Bale's Movie, Equilibrium. Some persons feel they own this earth and decide how others think and act.

Maybe you are right in other areas.. But i doubt you are right in the paramedics area... Even though we have cell regeneration and stuff... Accidents are bound to happen so long as humans live... What happens to first aid?... Or the cells would regenerate at the point of accident?... What would happen to drug research and discoveries?....
As far as there is life..... Healthcare personnels would always exist.. In one way or the other.
