It’s a challenge for parents and students every year while trying to change institutions and courses during JAMB change of institutions/courses exercise.

It gets more frustrated when you don’t know the cut off mark your proposed school will use in the current admission year. This issue of cut-off mark is a general concern as JAMB refuses to announce cut-of mark until late time.

JAMB has the custom of not announcing the national cut-off mark before or during the change of institutions. They do this to prevent students from choosing a school in thousands over others.

Because as soon as the national cut-off mark is announced, no school will be left behind in starting their admission screening/Post UTME activities.

Hence, what majority of schools are waiting for before selling their admission screening forms is JAMB’s announcement of national cut-off mark.

Here is the issue with change of institutions/courses.

Students want to know the cut-off mark that schools will require for UTME in the current admission year before deciding whether to change to them or from them.

However, no students can. This is because such schools will not announce cut-off mark so far JAMB has not announced national cutoff mark.

So, how do students go around this dilemma?
