The estate businesses in the northern part Nigeria are begning to count their own losses since aftermath of quit notice to Igbos in that region. One of the companies that is in to properties TAFIDAR PROPERTIES LTD. located in Kano as head office and its branches all over the North and parts of South West narrating what they are passing through presently due to drastic low patronage.

The manager of the firm Mallam Dudunwada said that over N650,000,000.00. (six hundred and fifty million naira) worth of properties (buildings) they have just finish building which before the quit notice buhaha came, they have received N230,000,000.00 (two hundred and thirty million) as an advance for the purchase of the said properties, but now the people that have paid in these advances are requesting them back showing lack of interest in buying these properties anymore. He also said that what is hanging on their neck now is that those funds are loans from banks and wonder how they will meet up their obligations with the banks.
He call for government intervention.

What do you expect, nobody sees reflection in a rushing water. North has always been unstable, and in one way or the other will remain so profoundly or otherwise; there are more possibilities the house could be burnt down in the future than it wouldn't. As a Westerner, Easterner or Southerner, having a major investment in the Northern part should be giving a second thought.

As I earlier stated in another thread, that the north has shot themselves in the foot by evicting the only set of people on the planet who are ready to risk their resources and life investing in their dead region,

Other regions are way more stable than the north. Most northerners tend to exhibit extreme and devastating violence in the face of a slight provocation. From all indications they sought of seem to have less value for a human life, speak less of properties.

Each time they try to leave the zoo always visit them with war. Ojukwu tried it, the zoo declared war on the entire Igbo land.

What you should ask your zoogeria is why they refused to let the Igbos go in 1967.

Any house built in the north is a waste.

The Dad of a friend who is Yoruba and a pharmacist has just placed a house he built in Kaduna 25 years ago as a civil servant for sale.

He is asking for a paltry 15 million naira for a duplex in one of the most high brow area in kaduna yet nobody is pricing. It's funny you know. grin
