Yeah Rapjunkie,u can type in his name on info.com and they will refer u to www.youtube.com where u can download his joints. Or u can log on to www.softlinksmusic.com that's his label website. Am suprised dat some people dont know him,he's a household name. Am sure u must hav come across his joints in some of this Alaba mixtape. Well i guess he's what u might call a regional star. |

Slow Dogg isn't the Nigerian Ja rule, he's a household name only in the East cos his songs are done predominantly in Igbo, he's like a rawer version of Nigga Raw. Like him though, can't help it, I school in the east, hear him all the time. |
Re: Slow Dogg- Is He The Nigerian Ja Rule? by jiggaz(m): 3:40pm On Feb 15, 2010 |
Well sha why i said Ja Rule is dat his lyrics are raw and so uncensored. But has good beats u cant help but like. |

Re: Slow Dogg- Is He The Nigerian Ja Rule? by rapjunkie(m): 6:19pm On Feb 15, 2010 |
ofokaofoki: I watched a youtube video of him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6SaKrgiUqY Quite a few funny lines. He reminds me of dat nigga raw. I can see why he will be popular in the east BUT he will find it hard to break through nationally. lalaboi & co will not dig this I don't know where the ja rule comparison comes from. |
Re: Slow Dogg- Is He The Nigerian Ja Rule? by asha80(m): 7:52pm On Feb 15, 2010 |
rapjunkie: He has his target market.i do not think he is too interested in 'break through' nationally.Do you think many peeps in the east know who dagrin is |
Re: Slow Dogg- Is He The Nigerian Ja Rule? by rapjunkie(m): 8:33pm On Feb 15, 2010 |
im just making an observation. da grin wont break thru nationally either. i know that. |
Re: Slow Dogg- Is He The Nigerian Ja Rule? by jiggaz(m): 5:31pm On Feb 16, 2010 |
@rapjunkie,which of his tracks is dat,is it Banyi? I cant download or upload cos am using my phone. Anyway sha, music is a universal language no matter d language of d lyrics. If its good then its good. If God destined it, Slow Dogg or Dagrin or whoever will break into d Nigerian market. I used to love East African music( Kenya, Tanzania n Uganda) to d extent dat i wrote one Ugandan producer n he sent me an East African mixtape album tru DHL. Despite d fact dat i dont understand Swahili, their language. So i believe if u hav a good song n wit God on ur side,u go blow like TIMAYA!! |

I heard him first in 'Okpomekwe' with Desperate Chicks, then in Dekumzy's 'Who get that thing'. All dis while i mistook him for Nigga Raw, they sound kind of similar just like Ja Rule and DMX back then. As for whether he's 9ja's Jeffery Attikins, well |
