FA Cup favourites Chelsea were handed a home draw for the quarter-final stage of the competition, and will face the winners of Manchester City or Stoke City.

Carlo Ancelotti's men cruised into the last eight of the World's oldest cup competition on Saturday after beating Cardiff City 4-1. The Citizens on the other hand were held to a 2-2 draw at the Britannia Stadium and a replay is needed to discover who will head to Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere in the draw, which was made at Wembley Stadium, Fulham knocked out League 2's Notts County 4-0 to land another home tie against either Bolton Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs scraped a 1-1 draw at the Reebok Stadium on Sunday, after Jermaine Defore cancelled out the Trotters early lead, and a replay at White Hart Lane will decide who travels to Craven Cottage for the quarter-finals.

Championship clubs Reading and West Bromwich Albion, who drew 2-2 on Saturday at the Hawthorns, will face a replay to determine who faces the winners of Crystal Palace and Aston Villa on home soil.

Sunday's late kick-off saw the Premier League side twice restore parity at Selhurst Park, with a late goal from Stilijan Petrov earning the West Midlands' club a replay at Villa Park.

The final game in the last eight will be contested between Portsmouth and Birmingham City.

The FA Cup winners in 2008 put their off-field woes behind them on Saturday after beating near neighbours Southampton 4-1 at St Mary's, while the Blues beat Derby County 2-1.

The FA Cup quarter-finals draw in full,

Chelsea - Manchester City or Stoke City

Fulham - Bolton Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur

Reading or West Bromwich Albion - Crystal Palace or Aston Villa

Portsmouth - Birmingham City

(Ties will be played on March 6 or March 7)
