ECWA Theological Seminary, Igbaja, Nigeria is the premier Theological Seminary, established by Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) formerly known as SIM. As an apex Theological Seminary, it is focused on biblical training, teaching, learning and research with strong evangelical position by promoting a lasting culture of excellence for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. The Seminary is biblical and evangelical-driven, which empowers focused-ministerial and leadership training towards achieving a fulfilled career experience. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of:

A. Assistant Lecturer (2 Positions)

i. Christian Education

The candidate must possess a first Degree in Christian Education, Master of Arts (Christian Education) and must have been registered for PhD in a recognized evangelical Seminary or University.

ii. Christian Religious Study

The candidate must possess combined first degrees in Theology and Christian Religious Study (B.A Th. / BACRS), Master of Arts in Christian Religious Study and must have been registered for PhD in a recognized evangelical Seminary or University. Possession of Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) will be an added advantage.

B. Seminary Librarian (1 Position)

The candidate must have first Degree or its equivalents in Library Science and Master in Library Science (or about to complete Master programme) in a recognized institution. Previous experience is desirable.

Desirable job skills include but not limited to:
 Knowledge and current awareness of library principles, practices, procedures, methods, materials, and philosophy.
 A working knowledge of the information needs of seminary students and faculty and of the resources necessary to meet those needs.
 Ability and desire to develop and provide electronic reference services.
 Interest and ability to present and teach in both individual and group contexts.
 Demonstrated ability to work with automated library systems.
 Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks while focusing on overall goals

C. Communication and Resource Development Officer (1 Position)

The candidate must possess a good degree in Mass Communication/Media or English Art or English Language or French Language. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications and publication strategies to increase awareness and understanding of the seminary’s vision, mission, differentiating strengths and educational programs among regional, national and international audiences through print and social media platforms. The candidate will also assist the Registrar of the Seminary in all registry works as assigned by the Registrar.

Candidates’ Spiritual Life

Interested candidates must be born again and subscribe to Articles of Faith of ECWA; they should also have significant experience as committed members in their respective local church.

Salary and Allowances

Salary and allowances are in accordance with the ECWA Salary Scale as applicable to ECWA Theological Seminary, Igbaja.
