FAKE PROMISES
Taking us for cheap fools,
during the time of the pools,
our children they used on thugs,
while theirs studied in comfort abroad.

They try to lure us with bags of rice,
making electoral noises like lice,
their fake promises filled the air,
because they think we're the hunger pair.

Then we fell for their lies,
and their fakeness destroyed our lives,
their promises buried in an early grave.
and our problems multiplied by an octave.

Our roads are no different from death traps,
as people die there everyday in piles,
our schools, a pathetic excuse of one,
as our children strive day and night to learn.

We strive to earn a living,
but kleptomaniac tap on our income without reasoning,
we start afresh to battle,
while our income serve as another man's mantle.

Those who promised us enjoy their lives,
on our sweat they feed on
all, fake promises.

THE SUN

The sun, a bright gift given to man,
to light the way through the day
even as the night quickly came,
the sun beautifully fades.

The sun even as unruly as it is,
interrupting fearlessly the quiet time of lovers,
with its rays, it threatens their eyes
and its brightness their bodies.

The sun even as beautiful as it is,
shines even on the bad,
to radiate its beauty on their evil,
a beauty without partiality

The sun even as powerful as it is,
forcing itself to shine even in the rain,
slowly withdraws once it's dusk,
because even in its strength, it knows its time.

GLAMOROUS TROUBLE
Man mate with himself, Woman bethrot to herself. Corruption, now the best food, Absurdity, now the best rule. Tattered men on Ceasar's robe, Tied down mentally, psychologically by bondage's rope. Yet,he feel relieved. Yea,she in destruction believed. Who will save us; the sea rumble, From the glamorous trouble?
Let hail come i pray! Disorganise their hood i say. Let honour flee from them, That maybe they'll regain their sense. But can that thing toss Or will have them all doze? Alright! Divorce foolishness, Thy body is not cardboard, Why imprint on it with ink blood? He is he and not she, Let he he and she she. Absurdity should be not thy food, Else to the creator you're a fool. Pierce us not again with thy folly, Thy acts incur on us wrath from the holy. Thy ebullience may metamorphose, If by heart you make not the right choice.
Ebony of disgrace, Cauldron of our race. Ace in sleek-destructive plan, That had deflowered our clan. Save us!-;who will save us;the sea rumble From this glamorous trouble? c.2017

OPELE
Seek that which seems lost
In the bowels of mystery
Hidden is the divine
Displayed openly, yet cryptic

Why did the sacred totems run
With all their maleficent spirits?
Who ate the golden coins
With a meal of fowls, and goats
And concoctions of obscenities?

Perhaps the new divine
Lies in hidden codes
Of ones and zeros
In a cathedral full of webs

What if the *Opele that run
Is now binary?

• Opele means The string of beads used in consulting the oracle, Ifa

Reason Why I Want To Be Rich

Reason Why I want to be rich

People say When I'm rich

I’d afford everything anything go everywhere

Liberated from lack

A dude once said

He wanted to be rich so bad

So he could dine With Queens

Different cities every night

Youths desire for riches

The desire to buy best of all

Honestly, there's nothing

Wrong with having possessions

But possessions having you Is odd

Scripture says:“I’d bless you so you can be a blessing…”

This is the reason for true riches

The reason for having

That which others

Don't have nor possess

Many homeless are scavenging for survival

GOD didn’t make it so

They just can’t help the circumstances

Ephesians 4:28 says:"He that steals

Shouldn't anymore but let him do something useful

So he could provide for those who are in need.”

This is why I want to be rich

Hmmm... wanting to be rich for the sake of others, such is rare.
