Nigeria political class and every successive government, starting from Olusegun Obasanjo, killed the Nigerian educational system.

ASUU strike timing may be bad, but it is known that the political class for selfish and greedy reason knowingly sabotage the development of public education in Nigeria.

The characters of the elites in Nigeria, had always been for the poor to remain poor. To be subservient and gullible.

They got successful with the public primary and secondary education, now there next step is to cripple the Polytechnic and university education system.

Their actions of destroying the education system was successful in some part of the north.

They know education is power and its the reason they had and will always strive to block and plug where the citizenry will be able to get quality education that would transform into Knowledge.

The current problem faced by the Nigerian education system was championed by former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

The establishment of Bell University by baba, gave impetus to others, to toil the same line and even those without the required funds to establish school, engaged in what has become a culture amongst Nigerians.

The man, who now is gallivanting round the country, talking about peaceful co-existence, restructuring, becoming anti-corruption fighter in the National Assembly; himself when with the mantle of leadership, supervised the gradual destruction of education.

The Nigerian public primary and secondary schools which were once a glory to all, now is more of a pig abode; as funds meant for schools have been Channeled by people like the grandstanding master for personal use.

If care ain’t taken and if the citizenry does not stand up against the political elites and government lack of interest towards public education, then quality education for citizenry who can’t afford the outrageous tuition fees, won't be possible.

When achieved, the grandstanding and ostentatious master, couple with those who stole funds meant for public education to establish elites schools would become happy over their achievements.
