Walker, who had received a first yellow card which upon replay looked unmerited got the short end of the stick again as he backed into Calvert-Lewin and was shown a second yellow card.
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola was immediately on his feet, making a case against Walker’s sending off to Michael Oliver.
Pep refused to be drawn into commenting on the sending off in his post-match conference as he waved the question off; “Next question please. I am not going to talk about the referee. It was so clear, so I don’t want to talk about the referees.”
