I spent hours looking for a solution.

I'm using Windows 8 & MS Access 2016. I keep getting this message when opening mdb document: “Unrecognized Database Format 'FileName.mdb' (Error 3343)” I use this file regularly. But i don't remember how I saved it last time.

Any what to do?

Things to try - but first, make a backup.

1) Try JetComp.exe
One note: Be sure you specify a *different* mdb name for the Destination text box.

JetComp is sort of Compact and Repair on steroids ... sometimes works when C&R (especially the Repair part of C&R) fails.
