Governor Dankwambo Bags Chieftancy Title of Akinmuagun of Ado-Ekiti

Gombe state Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo PhD. OON (Talban Gombe) alongside his wife, Hajiya Adama Dankwambo have been conferred with the Chieftancy titles of Akinmuagun of Ado-Ekiti and Yeye Akinmuagun of Ado Ekiti respectively, the coronation took place on Friday, 25th August, 2017 at the palace of the foremost monarch in Ekiti State, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe.

Before the Coronation event, Governor Dankwambo alongside his Ekiti State counterpart, Governor Ayodele Fasoye commissioned the new hall in Oba Rafus Adeyemo Adejugbe's palace built by the Governor of of Ekiti State to honour the Ewi of Ado Ekiti and the good People Ekiti State.

Speaking shortly after the coronation, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti said the decision to confer the Governor and his wife with the chieftaincy titles was reached after thorough consultations with all stakeholders.

He said, the Emirate had a tradition of honouring distinguishing personalities and urged Governor Dankwambo to continue to sustain his hard work and contribution to the development of the good people of Gombe State which earned him Special honours.

In his address, Governor Ayodele Fayose has welcomed Governor Dankwambo and his entourage to the Ekiti State and congratulated him for bagging the tittle of the Akinmuagun of Ado Ekiti by describing the honour as the well deserved and a honour given as the result of commitment and selfless service to humanity.

The coronation event was widely attended by the former Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam, Bode George, Chief Wole Olanipekun , Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, Chief of Staff to the Gombe State Governor, Hon.
