Stop embarassing yourself in public. Sagnol retired from football in January 2009 and he last kicked a ball for Bayern in 2008

That one is your problem, go and tell that to the Futebol Finance staff who generated the list or the soccernet journalist who put it on their site.

So if football finance said Jimmy carter is the president of America, you copy and paste hook, line and sinker?

Why bother to have a brain let football finance tell you the colour of your shirt and your sexual orientation

Now this is getting ridiculous, did someone snatch your feeding bottle? go and attack the people who generated the figures, and you are being quite silly, the fact that Willy Sagnol retired in 1st February 2009 does not mean he did not earn money that year, did you flush your brain down your toilet in error?

I agree with you but I also remember the popular saying that "Life aint fair", Rooney's contract seems to be up for renewal though.

@duduspace,
DK has a point.
That list isn't worth the paper it was compiled on if such a glaring goof was pointed out. It's not a credible list if it contains a playerwho retired over a year ago.

Two things add up here----

duduspace is a street mongoose for posting a topic with wrong heading---- it shud read '' Highest Earners In Football 2009" and not 2010

dayokanu is a bigger bofoon for not reading the body of the topic before goin all out on poor dudu tongue
If your assertion that Sagnol retired in January 2009 is correct then he is a contender for the competition of highest paid.

Stop assuming a position of knowing it all.
Anyone can make a mistake.
Besides,if DK was careful enough to point out that Sagnol retired in 2008,then he should NEVER had made that list.I don't see your point, because Sagnol retired in January 2009.Even if the topic was 2009 highest earners,Sagnol still wouldn't have been in the list.

Financial year is different from calendar year so even if sagnol retired in 2009 then his name will still pop up as 08/09 highest salary earners will only be collated after march 31st 2009.

Please is there a caption as to the period covered?Cus I don't see any.
The controversy arose from the fact that the caption said 2010.A mistake,I assume.

A player who retired in 2009 January that is one out of 12 months and he is still among the highest earners for 2009. Why not include Zidane in the list too

No one can be this stupid naturally, I suppose its a scientific test gone bad.

First of all the topic stated 2010 before it was adjusted. Secondly Willy retired from football due to personal issues and his contract was terminated in january 2009. Financial year or whatever he cant be among the top earners.

I still wonder how this relates to the topic. How can someone who retired in the first month of the year be the highest paid in that same year? I wish I can make an analogies to cowries and bottle corks cos some people are soo square that they cant understand anything.

Cummulative from when? The bigining of his career till 2009? or what? Dont just use big words that you dont understand
