I was in bus with about 15 other passengers and all known Naija latest hits were played and folks in the vehicle sat quietly and listened. Some picked their calls intermittently as the DJ blasted on, there was Wizkid, Davido, Mr Eazi, Dbanj, Olamide,Phyno etc. Just when a programme schedule "Throw back Thursday"came on and the first song that came up was "Mr President" by African China and the entire vehicle went into a frenzy. We all sang along and by the time the song painfully came to an end, it sparked a conversation that lasted until we got to our destination. How many songs of today could make people go into very critical conversations of growth and development and still be banging tracks? Hits could still carry great messages.
