After enjoying a 4-0 demolition of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun just a few days back, the Super Eagles face the uphill task of holding their own once again against the same team away from home later this evening.

The question on the lips of most Nigerians now is; “Can the Super Eagles go to Yaounde and prove that the victory they enjoyed over their opponents in Nigeria was not a fluke”? “Are they capable of holding their own against the host team right there on their own soil”? Well, some answers have been trickling in for the questions above.

We must tell you right here and now that the very best answer so far came from the very “Captain Fantastic” Mikel Obi himself.

The following is what he had to say in response to the questions above; “We are just very keen to finish what we started. We started a job in Uyo and it is time to finish it.”

“If we can pick the World Cup ticket by Monday, why wait any longer? We are all very confident, because we know our ability and what we are ready to bring to the party.”

“We are as hungry, perhaps even more hungry than they are. It will be a tough affair but we will give it our very best to take the three points.

Of course as the table stands right now, Nigeria will qualify for the next World Cup to be staged in Russia as early as Tuesday (tomorrow) by beating the Indomitable Lions at home today and if Zambia fails to beat Algeria tomorrow.

And that is exactly the prayer point of most Nigerian soccer followers as they wait to watch another thrilling encounter this evening between the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun and the indefatigable Soaring Super Eagles of Nigeria.
