How can someone be so careless if it is about lives? You must have heard about the Gorakhpur hospital tragedy in which more than 60 children have lost their lives. But recently, another tragic story from Jodhpur Hospital has come forward in which two doctors started arguing during a critical C-section.

After the operation when the baby was given to the hospital, it died. Now how would you react if I tell you that this is not the first time such a gut-wrenching tragedy has happened in the country?

In the past, India has gone through many soul-crushing disasters that shook the nation with its effects. What's revolting about these incidents is that all of these have happened due to human carelessness, a sheer lack of foresight and planning. Due to these man-made disasters, many innocent adults and children have lost their lives.

But don't you think it's time for accountability? So, to draw your attention to such tragedies, here is a list of some major hospital dooms that have happened recently in the country.

(1). Jodhpur's Umaid Hospital Tragedy

As per the reports published on 30th August, during a critical C-section surgery, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynaecology Dr. Ashok Nainval got into an argument with the professor of anaesthesia Dr. Mathura Lal Tak. The doctors started a quarrel on whether the patient has eaten before the operation or not.

When the doctors later delivered the baby at the hospital, it didn't survive for long. The high court has asked for a report on this incident and both the doctors have been removed.
A staff member recorded the whole quarrel on a mobile phone.

In the video, Dr. Nainwal in green scrubs and surgery gear is shouting at the anaesthetist, Dr. Tak. While the other staff was trying to stop them, the doctors started shouting. According to the superintendent of the hospital, Ranjana Desai, "We are yet to ascertain if the newborn's death was because of the spat. The cause of death is severe birth asphyxia."

Ami Lal Bhat, the principal of the Medical College of Jodhpur, who runs the hospital, says, "This is condemnable... a violation of OT (operation theatre) discipline."

2. Gorakhpur tragedy

Due to encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), 30 children at the Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College died in 48 hours. In 5 days, 63 deaths have been noted.

The kids could have been saved but the authority of the hospital withdrew the oxygen supply service leaving the children gasping for breath... READ MORE http://www.louisjimsblog.com/2017/09/5-most-heart-breaking-hospital.html
