Manila Skyline, Philippines by dblock(m): 9:02am On Feb 14, 2007 |
Manila is a beautiful city, I was there in 2003, I went to Makati in Metro Manila and I had a great time. The city is a truly modern city and level of shopping here is of the highest calliber. The largest mall there is SM mall of Asia, the sixth largest in the world!! I also went a bit east out of Metromanila to Quenzon City, and the residential estates there are simply amazing Let the posting begin More to come |

Manila is crab, only Makati is beautiful , the rest of the city is only poverty, corruption and misery! Simply incomparable to South East Asia´s real beauties such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or even Bangkok! |

U should get pics of Macapagal area and The Fort in Taguig city, it's kindda like ABJ. Makati is just cool because its the bizness city. @Constantin, true compared to HK, Singapore, and Malaysia, the country's behind. |
Re: Manila Skyline, Philippines by dblock(m): 4:53am On Feb 15, 2007 |
Manila is quite beautiful, it is indeed behind the other Asian tigers but not too far behind. The Infrastructure there is worse than the other counties, the Airport is bogus. But everything else is superb. Security isn't a majkor issue, you've got armoured vehicles moving through strategic areas and the filipino malls are one of the best in the world, Singapore or Malyasia's biggest is no match for the newly opened Mall of Asia. but yeah. I think you were too harsh with your post Constatnin, but I have to admit it was abit of the truth, but a little too one sided |

To dblock: Thanks for sharing such a wonderful pictures, And some comments are right, there are some parts in the Philippines that still suffer from poverty just like other parts in the world. I was born there but came in states when I was young. I thought I would never want to go back there but when my family went to visit last Dec., I fell in love with my country all over again. Indeed it was beautiful. And inspite of people working hard like others do, there is seems to be less stress living there. People still have time to relax and see their family or friends after work. People seems happier there. So, we decided to move back there, For good I hope. I can not wait to go back home. Pls,more pictures. |

Manilla is a city of contrasts, gorgeous skyline riddled with poverty and and corruption. |
Re: Manila Skyline, Philippines by LePhilippe(m): 1:41am On Feb 21, 2007 |
@ Ndipe: No Nigerian has the right to accuse another country or city of corruption. It like the pot calling the kettle black. No offense meant! |
