Give N50,000 only to a secondary
school dropout, he will purchase a stove, a frying pan, cooking oil and others to start indomie joint business.

In just three years the young man will own a
plot of land worth 1 million, a wife, a tokumbo car, a TV, sofa, bed etc in his one bedroom house.

Give one million to most university graduates, they will… More buy Samsung Galaxy phones, several pairs of skinny jeans, take their numerous girlfriends out, take selfies and post them on Facebook and Instagram.

After three years, they will still be buying indomie on credit from the secondary dropout guy and paying rent or staying in their fathers' houses. They will still pay all their life complains on some witches of the government for their shortcomings.

Question is:
Does education mostly exacerbate gullibility and stupidity? grin

dedicating this to lalaticala, youngaduco and to you there reading this i mean you!!!! cheesy grin grin wink

This question depends on the definitions you choose to use. You are comparing two causes of negative outcome that do not correlate well. To be gullible, a failure of social intelligence in which a person is easily tricked or manipulated into an ill-advised course of action, does not alwys correlate with stupidity, which is often defined as a lack of good sense or judgement. Anyone can be tricked and manipulated..... so almost everyone become gullible when faced with overwhelmingly desirable outcomes. Ask any confidence man about manipulating people into actions contrary to their benefit.. more importantly, is the consideration and correlation of ignorance, a lack of knowledge or information and an individual actions. Therefore the antidote to gullibility and stupidity is common sense and knowledge of one's own limitations and knowledge. Education does not exacerbate gullibility and stupidity the knowledge of everyone to issues of life matters.
