Premier League Transfers To Close Early! What Effect This Will Have On Big Clubs by truegossip(f): 11:43am On Sep 08, 2017
Just yesterday, Skysports broke the news that majority of Premier League clubs have voted in favor of early closure of the summer transfer market in English Premier League. Other reports also emerge that both Manchester clubs voted against such decision while it was noted that even the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal who had favored from a deadline day transfer market want the summer market closed before the first game of the season/

What effect will this have on clubs?

Small clubs nowadays have strong resistance in allowing their star man leave for big clubs even when big money is being offered. But most of the time, pressure from players willing to leave and big clubs persistence will drag the transfer and may eventually happen by the end of the window.

But does this stop such transfers? Obviously, NO! clubs are now aware transfers must be rounded up before the kick off of the new season, therefore, businesses will have to be rounded up in time. If clubs are to sell their star man, there will be no ample time for them to look for replacement unless they make up their minds in time.

One good thing about this decision is that clubs and players will no longer be distracted by transfer speculations when the season kicks off, which means all transfer businesses must have been rounded up before then
