THIS CAR IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE ON PRE-ORDER DUE TO A DISCOVERY OF THE CAR BEING ACCIDENTED "ROLL-OVER BODY DAMAGE".

This came as a total shock to me after a further Autocheck probe.

Whilst it is imperative for me to make a sale, Customer satisfaction and service delivery are more important.

*Autocheck occassionally  holds wrong records for car history's.

*The dealer in the US for this car is fraudulent and is part of a conspiracy to defraud people by providing fraudulent carfax reports.

* Or finally, Carfax occasionally holds wrong records for cars history's

I will not call it fradulant, carfax does not record every single thing, that is why it is good for the buyers to still test drive and ask the dealers more questions, still is a sweet looking car and a nice deal, better than most 2000 Camrys I see on this site w/o VIN numbers lol.

I personally have a fear of Toyotas right now due to their acceleration/footmat problems not cos of this minor problem here. I still currently drive a Toyota and have not had a single problem yet, thank God!

Don't be shocked.

People still use, buy such vehicles in USA and Canada and are also approved by the motor vehicle licencing office as long as it passes all the requirements.

Even if a car is reported as clean title does not mean it has not been in an accident before. Also, a car titled as salvage may not be bad at all; it may be a theft recovery.

What's important is to let the buyer take a test drive.

german has set a standard for himself on nl and he wants to maintain that standard.

y'all please don't cajole him to go below that standard by starting to sell salvage cars.

we know dealers here who specialise in that kind of stuff. almost all their cars are salvage and they will never
post the vins of those cars. they buy low and sell same cars high as clean titles to unsuspecting nairalanders.

we know them and we will expose them when the time is right!

I posted this car with the intent I was about to present a clean, quality and non-accidented car for pre-order, The carfax report looked satisfactory and convincing.   I was instantaneously inundated with so many offers via email, phone calls and texts.

A nairalander from Benin came close to sealing a pre-order deal with me a few hours later, A second instinct decided we do an Autocheck report, This check revealed the "roll over body damage" incident.

Reasons for my decision to refrain from presenting this car for pre-order are;

* The effect of a Roll Over accident can be extremely detrimental to the integral structure of a vehicle.  'Roll Over' is a type of vehicle accident where a vehicle turns over on its side or roof.  The damage caused through such an accident can be extremely severe, thus rendering the vehicle unsafe and hazardous. Whilst making a sale is important, the imperativeness of Customer safety is paramount.

* I intend to asseverate my reputation of selling and pre-ordering quality vehicles coupled with the display of transparency, truthfulness and honestly in all my transactions.

I have taken my time to carry out investigation on some notable nairaland car dealers and must confess i found only very few that scaled the mark, peeps like German007, Inspired, Viperman, Sienna have proven integrity. Trust me. Others shy away from leaving or protecting their persons which i consider rather dubious.

As standard should be set for all notable Nairaland dealers. They should provide their full names and possibly profile pictures. This will ensure that ur hard earned deposit is secured with them.

if your post was meant to be a complement to german, i think you rather missed it. i can pick at least two names in your list that don't merit that tag of honourable nairaland car dealers. they don't have half the scrupple that german has. i have gone through most of their inventory and i can tell you they don't care a hoot whether the car they sell is salvaged, junk, roll over damage, etc. they just sell and make thier money. no conscience. i can even post a link to a thread right now in which one of them is forcefully trying to sell an accidented car and he's telling anybody that don't like the salvage car to go to blazes. certainly such a seller has no reputation and should not be included in the same list along with german!

I am just after credibility. You will do us all good by exposing them. As for me, I'll advice potential buyers to beware of rides that don't have VIN, Mileage or dealers asking you to make deposit but you can't get their concrete profile. All dealers should be able to post their pictures in their profiles or their full names or working addresses.
